Summer of Updates — Free updates for every asset pack!

Summer is over, and so is our Summer of Updates. Every polygoniq asset pack got an update this season, and every one of those updates is free for everyone who already owns the pack.
Updating one asset pack is a project. Updating all of them in one summer, as a small team, is a slightly unreasonable idea. But we did it anyway 😀
The headline features were the fun part. Snow in aquatiq. Domes for all 31 HDRIs in materialiq. Branch masking across 974 botaniq assets. But these updates were not just about adding new things, but about improving what was already there. Cleaner source files, unified render settings, better tags, keeping up with new Blender versions…
We didn’t want a single giant release where half the changes would go unnoticed, so we went pack by pack. In theory, we knew we could make it work. It was only a few late night shifts later that we realized the actual scope of this idea. Now that we can look back on it though, we’re happy we went all in and emerged better for it.
So, let’s take a look at each new release more closely!
botaniq 7.3.0 — Branch masking across the library
botaniq is our biggest pack, so its update was about to reach the biggest audience. We heard your wishes and started developing one of our coolest looking features to date. The new branch and leaves masking feature is now available on 974 assets, which covers the bulk of the library. The control settings are very versatile and offer a wide range of adjustments. And it doesn’t cover just trees! The feature works on shrubs, flowers and other assets as well.
The update landed together with a set of animation fixes in engon 1.10.0, released the same day.
Get botaniq on Superhive or Gumroad.
Changes
- Added branch masking feature to 974 assets
- Added leaves masking feature to 679 assets
- Added option to weight paint scale on curve scatter assets
- Randomized rotation on leaves in pps scatters
Fixes & Improvements
- Fixed animation looping and broken palm wind presets
- Fixed white outlines issue on some textures
- Animation weights and texture tiling fixes
materialiq 5.2.0 — HDRI domes
materialiq hadn’t had a major update since early 2024, so this one was long overdue. We wanted to do more with our world textures, so all 31 HDRIs in the pack can now be spawned as domes, and every dome is fully adjustable: size, shape, ground displacement, ground roughness and more. If you’ve ever wanted your environment lighting to also give you a believable ground to place objects on, this is for you.
Get materialiq on Superhive or Gumroad.
Changes
- All 31 HDRIs can be spawned as adjustable domes
- New HDRI category in Blender’s native asset browser
- Maximum HDRI world strength raised to 10
- Updated default glass caustics
Fixes & Improvements
- Fixed planar mapping on ML810 Wire Fence
- Set sheen to 0 on grass materials
traffiq 2.4.0 — Cargo and branded vehicle assets
We wanted to increase the variety of our vehicle asset library and since streets feel more alive when vehicles look like they’re actually doing something, we decided to create new branded skins for vehicles and fill their trunks with luggage. Trucks finally got their trailers which are fully rigged and compatible with the “Follow path” feature. All brands and business logos are completely made up or they’re parodies of well known brands that feel familiar.
Get traffiq on Superhive or Gumroad.
Changes
- 11 new variations of existing vehicles: pizza delivery cars, a delivery truck with boxes, a flower shop car, cars with suitcases and bags in the trunk, and private transport
- 13 Kenworth truck variations with reefer, curtainside, dry-van and deck trailers, plus branding
Fixes & Improvements
- Glass settings reworked: raytraced transmission turned on where it makes sense, and window, glass and mirror materials switched from sphere to slab thickness
- Adjusted tq_Tire roughness and specularity
- Road profiles now calculate width correctly in Blender 4.5 and newer
aquatiq 2.1.0 — New snow assets
Water comes in more than one form, and until now aquatiq only covered the liquid kind. With the upcoming winter we wanted to give you more water forms to play with, so this update adds realistic snow photoscans. We took the initiative and cleaned them up properly, so your winter scenes will finally have something to work with.
Get aquatiq on Superhive or Gumroad.
Changes
- 32 new snow assets, 2 of them included in the starter version
- Tags added to assets, so they’re easier to find in engon
Fixes & Improvements
- Unsubdivided aq_Fountain_Big-decagon_A and aq_Fountain_Big-clover_B
- Fixed unapplied transforms on some assets
- Unified scene render settings across source files
- Textures in local image datablocks are no longer linked
interniq 2.1.0 — 126 new interior assets
interniq keeps growing. Version 2.1 adds 126 new assets, and some of our favorites are the new ready-made setups for shops and pharmacies. Like the kitchens, offices and bathrooms already in the pack, they’re complete collections you can drop into a scene and adjust, instead of furnishing a whole space piece by piece. You can pick them apart too and use only pieces of it as separate assets. The electronics shop specifically has two variants!
Get interniq on Superhive or Gumroad.
Changes
- 126 new interior assets
- Added Electronics store, Pharmacy and Kitchen ready-mades
- Various small fixes on multiple assets
aesthetiq 1.1.0 — New art assets
An interior only feels like an art gallery once there’s some art on the walls and the shelves. aesthetiq got a fresh batch of 29 new models, ranging from small statues to modern wall decorations, so your 3D rooms can have a bit more personality.
Get aesthetiq on Superhive or Gumroad.

engon — The power behind it all
Many of the new features live in engon, our free add-on that powers the asset packs. It got three releases over the summer to support the pack updates. Read the full engon release log for all the details.

Thank you
We’re a small team, and we don’t take it for granted that you choose to build with our assets. Every purchase, bug report, feature request and render you share with us shapes what we work on next. Many of the fixes in this post exist because one of you took the time to tell us something wasn’t right.
This summer was our way of saying thank you. We hope it shows in your next scene. And if you make something with the new assets, tag us. Seeing what you create is honestly the best part of our job.
— the polygoniq team
